Transforming a Home Exterior with New Garage Doors

If you’ve purchased a “previously loved” home, you may find the design and layout irresistible, but you don’t always love every feature that comes with your house. For Julie Happel the item she inherited and disliked the most was her heavy wooden garage doors.

“We’ve been in our home for about seven years and those wooden garage doors have always been a problem,” says Happel, a Columbus, Ohio resident. “The springs broke several times, making them impossible to lift.

“Finally this past year we painted the exterior of the house and knew it was time to replace the garage doors. Since they’re a prominent feature of the house exterior I really wanted the garage doors to stand out against the new paint job. That’s why I invested a good deal of time researching our options.”
