SuperTech Day: Why the Right Installer Makes All the Difference
Choosing the right garage door is only half the equation. The other half is the person who shows up to make it happen — measuring the space, walking you through the options, answering the questions you didn’t know you had and making sure everything is done right.
That’s what
Haas Door’s authorized dealers and installers do every day. In honor of SuperTech Day, we asked a few recent customers to share what that experience looked like for them.
For homeowner
Usha Rao, the process started online with the HaasCreate visualizer, where she narrowed down her design before connecting with her local dealer, Doors by Russ. Her priorities were insulation and light filtering — specific enough that she needed someone who could actually show her the difference between options, not just describe them. Her dealer, Josh, delivered: he dropped off glass samples so she could see exactly how light would come through before committing.
“He addressed all of my questions and concerns, and even suggested a few alternative designs that would complement my home beautifully,” she said.
“Overall, it was an excellent experience.”

Janny Chmielewski had a similar experience with Heavenly Garage Doors. She came to her consultation with a vision in mind and found a dealer who came equally prepared — steel samples, overlay options, colors, glass choices and hardware, all in hand. He also measured everything on-site before placing the order, so there were no surprises. “I’m really happy I had a dealer to work with to nail it all down,” she said.
For contractor and builder
David Corson, CEO of Commercial Construction & Renovation, the stakes were a little different. When you’re building for clients, an installer who knows what they’re doing doesn’t just do good work — they make your whole operation run smoother. Destin and the team at Aaron Overhead Doors delivered on both counts, earning Corson’s loyalty well beyond the first job.
“If you get someone who really knows what they’re doing, they can make your life as a contractor so much easier,” he said.
“We’re going to use them for all of our future builds.”

And sometimes, the most important thing an installer does is give you confidence that the job is in the right hands. That’s what Mammoth Door and Construction did for Sean and Samantha Sutton of After Hours Farm, who handled much of their renovation themselves but knew garage door installation wasn’t the place to improvise. “Making sure it’s done the right way, making sure everybody is safe while it is getting installed — is huge to us,” Samantha said. “I’m glad we put this one in their hands.”
Every one of these experiences looked a little different. But the common thread is a dealer who showed up prepared, took the time to get it right, and left the customer better off than they found them. To the technicians and installers who do that every day:
Happy SuperTech Day from Haas Door.
