Year-End Introduction Review

Haas Door • November 3, 2022

As the end of the year approaches, Haas Door wanted to take a look back at some of the new product launches we’ve had in the past year. From new colors to more energy efficiency, the possibilities of a Haas Door garage door are endless.

2400 Series English Oak

This past year, our first non-insulated woodgrain, English Oak, became available in our Steel 2400 Series for residential and commercial garage doors. The uni-directional wood grain color runs horizontally and has an appealing rich brown finish with variance in hues of darker browns to create an Oak grain pattern. This neutral brown matches many home exteriors, including stone, brick, and a wide variety of siding colors. The finished steel is embossed with a wood grain texture to provide a realistic representation of wood. Read more about this versatile wood-toned addition here on our website.

Graywood

Graywood is our newest color released this year at Haas Door. Available in a uni-directional wood grain pattern, the Graywood color adds a modern feeling to a classic gray color, warmed up with the element of wood. The gray hue provides a purposely cohesive look and the wood grain pattern is strong enough for the wood pattern to be seen clearly from the curb. The combination ensures a striking yet harmonizing look to the home. The authentic gray colors combine with a wood grain embossment that runs horizontally to compliment the garage doors, enhancing the feel of wood. This beautiful Graywood color is the perfect way to add new life to any home exterior. Read more about our newest color here

2-Inch American Tradition™ Series

Our American Tradition historical carriage house series is now even better. The newly released 9200 Models are built with an energy-efficient 2-inch base door, a popular customer request. The door’s polyurethane insulation provides an R-Value of 17.66, and the section joins with the bulb seal meet IECC Air infiltration code requirements. American Tradition Series also includes the option to have two lite sections at the top, which is aesthetically pleasing for taller commercial sizes. Carbon Black Now Available in the 800 Series

Carbon Black makes a statement on any project, and it's now available in our most thermally efficient door, the 3” Commercial 800 Series. One of our most popular colors, Carbon Black has a lower gloss level to let the deep, rich color show.  Carbon Black is a classic look yet leans contemporary and matches almost any color. Pairing this color with our most thermally efficient door makes an unbeatable match.  Our 800 Series has an R-Value of 25.8 with a bulb seal between the sections that comply with IECC air infiltration requirements. What's New at Haas Door?

By Haas Door June 15, 2026
When Mademan Design’s Patrick Knobloch was brought on to transform a former St. Louis auto dealership into Makers Yard — a multi-tenant restaurant hub anchoring the city’s new Delmar Maker District — the building’s industrial bones provided an excellent starting point. The challenge, however, was creating a meaningful indoor-outdoor connection across a series of large storefront openings while honoring what the building once was. Haas Door’s aluminum and glass full view sectional doors ended up playing a bigger role in solving that problem than anyone might have expected — right down to surviving an EF3 tornado with zero damage. We asked Knobloch to walk us through the project, the product decisions and what he’d tell other architects working on similar commercial applications.

Every May, Home Improvement Month gives homeowners a nudge to step back and think about the projects that would make the biggest difference — the upgrades that have been sitting on the list a little too long. If you’re not sure where to start this spring, we’d make the case for your garage door. It’s the largest moving part of your home, one of the most visible features of your exterior, and — depending on what door you have — either a significant vulnerability or a serious asset. Here’s why upgrading to a new Haas Door this spring is one of the smartest home improvement decisions you can make.

If you weren’t able to make it out this year, here’s a look at everything that went on.

Energy efficiency is often discussed in terms of windows, insulation and HVAC systems. But one of the largest and most frequently used openings in a home is often overlooked: the garage door. Because the garage connects directly to the living space in many homes, the performance of the garage door affects more than just curb appeal. It plays a meaningful role in comfort, efficiency and long-term home performance. That’s why the way a garage door is built matters.
