Garage Door Replacements Bring Highest Payback

The numbers are in … and garage door replacements are the winners!
The recently-released 2018 Cost Versus Value Study by Remodeling magazine identifies garage door replacement jobs as having the highest payback for a homeowner of any home improvement project.
A whopping 98.3% of the cost of the garage door can be recouped according to the nationwide study. The yearly study supports the idea that garage doors add value to a home.
In a separate report last year, the 2017 NAR/NARI Remodeling Impact Report of realtors and remodelers reports that 87 percent of the value is recovered from a garage door replacement project. As a result of replacing an old garage door with a newer version, 41 percent of homeowners surveyed have a greater desire to be home since completing the project, 44 percent have an increased sense of enjoyment when they are at home, and 65 percent feel a major sense of accomplishment when they think about the project.
