In just a few weeks you’ll be able to see our beautiful American Tradition Series™ garage doors in This Old House magazine. The November/December 2018 issue of the popular publication includes a comprehensive story on the construction of the THIS OLD HOUSE® 2018 IDEA HOUSE — including Haas Door products!
The detached garage created for the Narragansett, Rhode Island home features two “black on black” carriage-style garage doors with overlay boards and matching hardware. Specialty glass windows in the garage doors feature Dark Gray/Dark Gray specialty glass for privacy.
“The American Tradition Series garage doors from Haas Door look great on the Idea House,” says Jeff Sweenor with Sweenor Builders, Inc ., the building team for the project. “The material is perfect for this area — it’s insulated, rugged and low maintenance.”
Installed by South Shore Garage Door, Inc. out of Charlestown, Rhode Island, the wood grain textured garage doors resist a variety of weather conditions plus corrosion — ideal because of the location of the house. The durable steel doors are 1⅜” thick with ⅝” overlay boards and contain CFC/HCFC-free polyurethane insulation with a calculated R-value of 13.45.
