COVID-19 Announcement
On March 23, out of concern for the safety and wellbeing of our employees, Haas Door announced a temporary stop to production operations from March 27 - April 13. Many departments, including customer service, are working from home and available to our dealers.
Haas Door fully supports the Ohio Department of Health’s Stay-at-Home Order of March 22 and has been operating as a Supplier to Essential Businesses.
As defined in the Order, our customers are primarily Critical Trades, including “Building and Construction Tradesmen and Tradeswomen, and other trades including but not limited to plumbers, electricians, exterminators, cleaning and janitorial staff for commercial and governmental properties, security staff, operating engineers, HVAC, painting, moving and relocation services, and other service providers who provide services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences, Essential Activities, and Essential Businesses and Operations”.
The International Door Association (IDA) and the Door & Access Systems Manufacturers Association (DASMA), have both established clearly that Garage Door Dealers and the Manufacturers that support them are Essential Businesses according to the definitions spelled out in the Ohio and other states’ Stay at Home Orders.
