Adding Specialty Glass to a garage door provides the ability to differentiate the look of a home by adding simply unique curb appeal. Our wide variety of glass options include textures that protect the privacy of the homeowner and match glass to the style of the home. From tints of color to unique textures, Specialty Glass provides multiple ways to make a house a home.

Simply Unique.
With our multiple glass options, we provide a truly unique feature. The obscure and tinted glasses may be combined with clear or frosted glass, creating an individualized privacy level. By combining the glasses, privacy ranges from completely transparent, to moderately opaque. Also, all specialty glasses come tempered. The desired look may be achieved and provide peace of mind.  
The specialty glass is offered in tempered glass only. If the glass were to break, it wouldn’t shatter into shards but would break into small pebbles drastically reducing the danger of injury.
Multiple levels of Privacy.
Having texture on the first pane of glass allows the Rain or Aqua Glass options to obscure the interior of the garage. Rain will provide the most obscurity to the view, due to the raised design of the glass on the surface (1). The textured glass itself will block the view into the garage when seen from a 45-degree angle. Aqua performs similarly but to a lesser degree of obscurity.  For insulated units, the glass may provide even more privacy by placing Frosted glass as the second interior glass pane on surface (3). Frosted will prevent a direct view into the garage due to its opaque quality. Textures and tints can be mixed and match to provide the level of privacy desired.

*Translucent Mirror glass option appearance varies greatly depending on light location. When the inside of the garage is dark, it allows the mirror properties of the glass to show, and strong reflection happens, limiting opacity. However, when it is lighter inside the garage than outside, the glass becomes mostly transparent.

Whatever style is desired for the home … from an American Tradition™ Series door with Rain over Frosted glass in one of 156 base color/overlay color combinations, to a Charcoal 2000 Series door with Dark Gray over Frosted glass … We can do that!
